美漸龍黒織部瓷茶盌
世界一の陶芸家・青木良太が生み出した皿や茶碗に、彫師美漸が呉須で龍を描く。
龍は、般若と並ぶ僕の代表作。
天を舞い、海を潜り、雲となる。形に縛られない存在です。
その自由な動きは、丸みを帯びた器の曲面とすごく相性が良い。
平面ではなく、身体のような立体。
刺青が人の身体に刻まれる芸術であるように、器の曲面もまた、彫師の技術を試してくれる場所です。
陶芸を活かし、陶芸に活かされる。その題材として、龍を選びました。
刺青は、針で点を打つ仕事です。点が線になり、線が面になる。刺す回数で濃淡や陰影をつくる。
今回は彫師ならではの、そのドットワークの思想を、そのまま器に持ち込みました。
筆で塗るというより、刺すように点を重ねる。
皮膚ではなく、土の上に。
一生と共にある身体ではなく、世代を越えて残る器に。
「消える美と、残る美」。
刺青は、人が亡くなれば消える。でもそこにこそ美しさがある。今を生きる覚悟が刻まれているからです。
陶芸は、何千年も何万年も残る。
土は朽ちず、時代を越えて存在し続ける。
命の儚さと、土の永遠性。
互いの良さがぶつかり合うことで生まれた一作です。
